When it comes to candles, I am the type that falls for one scent and sticks with it for years. I like the scents throughout my home to be consistent. And up until Full Circle opened I was a faithful one brand, one scent lover. That came to a swift stop when I discovered Sydney Hale Co.
Full Circle exclusively offers Sydney Hale Company Candles in Birmingham and ever since I opened the box of our first shipment I've been a convert. I am obsessed. You can get one or two or five for yourself here.
The candle makers describe their company best, "Sydney Hale Co. is a family owned fragrance house making small-batch candles out of Arlington, VA. The subtle and unique fragrances are hand-blended in soy wax from American-grown beans and thoughtfully packaged in stylish, reusable containers. As part of our business model, we donate 10% of the profits from each sale to a local animal rescue organization." Love.
The packaging is divine and the scents are even better. And I am a sucker for packaging so if a scent can blow me away above and beyond the packaging, I know it's good. It's real good.
We began with only 4 scents here at the shop and have since expanded our selection to nearly every scent they make. From the beginning I fell in love with Tobacco & Sandalwood. Despite its odd name, it is absolutely yummy. It is warm and homey with the perfect touch of sultry. My husband even loves it and that says a lot. Nearly every scent of anything makes his eyes water.
At Christmas I fell for Blue Fir & Sage - sweet and fun with a bit of holiday but not so holiday it can't be burned all year.
In January we received a massive shipment because all of us here at Full Circle, along with nearly everyone who walks through the door, are head over heels for these bad boys. We've been burning Cedarwood & Vanilla in February, and I love it almost as much as Tobacco & Sandalwood.
We'll see what scent is my next candle crush. We have many lighter, more summery scents for the coming months, and I am pretty excited about breaking those guys out. Sea Salt & Bay Rum? Yes, please. Agave & Honeysuckle? Don't mind if I do.
To top off the deliciousness that these candles are, I discovered yesterday that you can, in fact, burn the candles down, remove the label, wash it, and use it as tumbler. I mean, really?!?! Obsessed.
